Is it normal for male zebra finches to mount each other?
A long time ago, I had a colony of males and females, but recently I've started keeping them again. I've noticed that the males will hop on top of each other and make the noises/feather movements that in the past, the ones would do while mating.
Is it normal for them to try and mate with each other? I have ONLY males in the cage (Don't want to worry about babies. 
) and I know they are all males. I just thought this was pretty.. odd behavior.
yes this activity is with any animal when they can not find one of the opposite sex
