wireless router gets hot and power supply to hot to touch + more?
ok we upgraded from what we had , which was 2 desk tops both running xp and used a CISCO / linksys router n it worked great but then we got new laptops. still want to use the desktops and want to leave them hard wired want the laptops to be wireless, got a netgear router for cheap from the local computer shop now every thing is way to sloooooow. not happy what GOOD router do i need the old one was never like this. Not willing to pay over 200.00 so if it costs more than that i suppose for we will have to put up with THIS HUNK OF JUNK 4 NOW.
Your power supply shouldn't be hot to touch. I would try a different outlet, even in a different room just to trouble shoot that problem. If you would like to replace your router I suggest a DLINK-DGL4100 or the 4300. The only other product to dare match the quality is the Linksys WRK-series. Also setting up a static lan would speed up the internet connection a lot.
