I have a am1772 wireless lan chipest pci card. The utility keeps crashing on startup. Any advice how to solve?
My PC runs windows xp pro, i have tried it in different pci slots and it dont work. I tried it in a different pc and it worked. I have re installed it again and again but still no joy. Any advice on how to solve this problem?
I'm not an expert but it sounds like there might be a missing driver or perhaps the pci slots on that one computer aren't working correctly. Couple of things you could try.
1. Since you tried the 1772 in a different computer and it worked, you could try a different card in the computer with the XP Pro (if you have one) and see if it works.
2. You could try starting the comp without the 1772 installed. After it boots, insert the pci card. XP has plug -n- play so the computer might auto connect and search for the appropriate driver.
