I have one computer,(this one) and my daughter's computer. I have a wireless connection (as in it doesn't tie up the phone line,but it hooks up with a cable),and I want to get her internet,but don't want to pay another price. Can I hook it up with my adapter?
A 10/100/100 ethernet network adapter is the slot you plug the cable in for your internet most likely. The cord that looks like a big phone cord is called an ethernet cable. The adapter you have isn't wireless. You could indeed network yours and your daughters computers together, but you would need some sort of equipment to do that if your computer doesn't have any in it already.
