Time Machine (MacBook) doesn't work with my Buffalo NAS drive. Are there other programs like Time Machine?
I can't get Time Machine to back-up to my external NAS drive - Buffalo LinkStation Live. The MacBook recognizes the drive, but Time Machine can't create a back-up image file. I've given up and need some advice on replacing Time Machine. Are there any programs that work like Time Machine (backing-up file changes and not the entire file)? The drive is wireless and a full back-up would be overkill. Any help is appreciated. Much thanks.
Your external hard drive is probably formatted for NTFS which can only be read by Mac OS, but not written to. You may want to reformat it or find a way to get NTFS-3g and MAC Fuse to work with TIme Machine.
