is there a way to setup a wireless access point from my computer?
ok i have a wireless pci adapter for my computer and it is connected to a parabolic grid antenna that reaches like 10 miles for wifi, it connects to the internet through wifi, but i have a ipod touch that obviously cannot reach that far, so is there any way to create an access point using that wifi for my ipod touch??
oh yea here is the kicker, my computer is windows 98 , but could upgrade to windows 2000 if neccesary

I may not be fully correct, but you cannot make your computer as a Access Point for your iPod to work that far, but if you can get an access point with similar antenna capabilities, you can create a wireless bridge and then you can use it in your home for iPod as well.
PS: Not sure, but seems to be a costly solution.
