Post Pregnancy, can Army make me take a diagnostic PT Test?
The Regulation states that I can't be given a record PT for 180 days but can I refuse to take a diagnostic? I had my baby 2 1/2 months ago. I returned to work just last week and they want me to take a diagnostic PT test in about 2 weeks. I am no where near ready to take a PT test and I'm still 40 lbs over my pre-preggo weight. I know I would fail every event uncluding the weigh and tape and I personally don't want to be embarrassed in this way. Not to mention I am still breast feeding and my boobs are twice the size they used to be. It's extremely painful to run. I could probably go and get a profile but I don't feel like I should have to go and waste my time at sick call...not to mention I find it extremely humiliating to have to go and see a PA who will no doubt be a male and discuss this problem.
You mentioned the key word, "profile." If your Doc has released you back to duty and you have no other paperwork or profile that prevents you from taking a diagnostic then you are out of gas. I know it sucks but that be the way the Army works. If you need more time the only recourse you have is to go see that "male" PA and discuss it and get yourself on a no PT profile for a while longer.
