Circuit breaker has not been tripped but there is no power?
Power to two bedrooms in my house is off, but the circuit breaker has not been tripped. I went ahead and turned it off anyway because I don't know what is causing the problem. We turned it off and on once and it worked for several hours but went off again. (both times it did NOT trip the breaker). We do not have any GFI outlets in either room. Does anyone know what can cause this?

How do you know the circuit breaker has not tripped? A circuit breaker can trip without indicating this on the handle. If you turn it off and back on and the power comes back on, that means it was tripped. You need to find out what is causing it to trip. Overloads are the most common cause of circuit breaker tripping. Faulty appliances and equipment is next. Unplug things first. If needed, call an electrician to help.
