can i use PCI wireless card for WiFi on iPhone?
hey guys can i use a PCI wireless card for WiFi for my iPhone, i need WiFi on my iPhone and i busted my router, don't have much money right now so m planning to buy a PCI wireless card.. what would you say would i be able to connect my iPhone on internet through PCI wireless card? as i use to connect it through Router.
I don't know if the Iphone is Adhoc compliant to do so. It might not be. You would be better off buying a new cheap router that offers wireless than trying to setup a PCI wireless card to do Adhoc mode. You can always connect you PC by the cat 5 cable "ethernet cable" and allow your phone to connect wirelessly to the router. Then when you get more saved up, get a good PCI wireless card for your PC. Or contact your internet provider and see if they could help upgrade your DSL modem to a DSL Modem Router that offers wireless and multiple ethernet ports.
