Is there some kind of switch or router with many USB ports? (or all USB ports.. instead of RJ45, ports I mean)
I know it could sound kinda bizarre... but someone told me there is, and I just wanted to confirm it...

Most likely you're talking about a USB hub, which simply turns one USB port into many. There's not really a USB "switch" that I'm aware of. There are devices which allow you to run USB devices over a network, but I don't think that's what you're talking about.
There are also USB switches that allow you to share a USB device between more than one computer. In that case, it's more like a light switch than a network switch.
