I have a Sony Vaio laptop and its OS is Windows XP Professional and the problem is that i cannot connect to my router by Wireless Lan the router is Netgear. When I connect to my router it says Network not in range. Please try again later.. Please help. Additional details: Its has the Lucent ORiNOCO WLAN Mini PCI Card and the other computer and laptops work perfectly. And one more thing if i connect LAN it workes perfectly. Please help me. I dont want to change the card so please tell me a software or anything that it might work. Thank You very much for time.
I updated it not reinstalled it
Any running microwaves, cellphones, bluetooth devices, Automatic doors, Radios, radar detectors, other WIRELESS routers, or Infra red devices around? They all travel on similar light waves and will cause connectivity issues. try setting your wifi card's settings to "noisy environment" Also make sure it's set to use A,B and G. If it's set on the adhoc channel B for example, You only have about 5-10 feet of connectivity versus the 30-50 feet of a G connection.
Who gave me a thumbs down? This is all fact. And to the person that stealth emailed me, you're an idiot. Everything I mentioned, Including microwaves and radio waves, are in fact, forms of light. Not sound.
