I bought a 'Y' Audio Cable 3.5mm plug and a coupler to hook my headphones to my TV...why isnt it working?
I pluged the RCA cables into the red and white ones and have the coupler hooked up... I have no idea what to do now. Why isnt it working already?
what exactly did you 'pluged up' into???
It sounnds like you just plugged into the left and right LINE OUT, which is what I think you did, unless that TV actually has left and right SPEAKER OUT which was what you should be using....
the difference being the LINE OUT jacks, are just that at line level and are not amplified....
SPEAKER OUT jacks on the other hand are after the amplifier, and would be loud enough to power your headphones...
If all you have are LINE OUT jacks, then you need a stereo amplifier and a headphone jack in order to be able to plug in your headphones...
