can I charge my usb devices with my laptop in a country with higher voltage?
I am going from USA to Korea, where the voltage is higher. My laptop is rated to handle the higher voltage, and I have a plug adapter. I was wondering if it is ok to charge my usb devices (Ipod, DSi) with the usb charging function of my laptop, since it wil be plugged into a higher voltage.
The computer outputs (USB) work the same regardless of the power input you are connected to. It is the responsibility for the power converter (or laptop, if you have built in conversion) to negotiate the input power and everything else works as usual.
